DID YOU KNOW? More than one in four Americans ages 18 or older lives with a diagnosable mental health issue. This means that nearly every family is touched by mental illness. Yet 2/3 of those diagnosed do not get treated. In the past year, close to 45% of American teens reported they persistently felt sad or hopeless. U.S. Surgeon General Vivek Murphy has declared that we are in the midst of a mental health crisis in America and research shows that stigma is one of the key barriers to people seeking mental health treatment.
